This is me in New York during the Woodrow Wilson in the summer of 2000!
I was born in Louisville, Kentucky. Lived there until I was in 8th grade. My family and I moved to
Knoxville, Tennessee and I graduated from Farragut High School in 1991. I proceeded down to Charleston,
South Carolina and attended the College of Charleston for 6 years. I graduated in December of 1997 with
a B.S. in Elementary Education with specialization in Middle School Education.
I returned back to Louisville and stumbled through certification processes in Kentucky. I eventually got a
full time job teaching with Spencer County Schools in September 1998 teaching 7th grade Science 7
periods a day. The following year our Middle School became official and I moved down to teach 5th grade
Math and Science (come see my class online). Our Middle School is really great. We teach 5-8 and have a wide range of experienced
faculty.
Summer of 2000 I was selected to join a crew of 40 other teachers from across the country to
experience Woodrow Wilson. During an intense 3 weeks of study we as a group learned about Human
Impact on the Environment. Also that summer I was chosen as one of 15 ITL's (Instructional Technology
Leader).
I love to teach everything about Science. I have only taught one year in Math but I'm starting to get use
to it. I have a feeling in another year I will really love that too.
Right now I live in Taylorsville, Kentucky. It is a small community and people are really friendly. It is
perfect for the things I have learned this summer because it has a huge watershed, a dam, and many
environmental concerns. If you need me you can email me at krogali@spencer.k12.ky.us.
