The future is unlimited for global climate models. But as we speed through a more advancing technological age and the improvement of bigger and better computers we could see much more in the models. At this time the models only show wind speed, wind direction, moisture, temperature, pressure, simple depiction of the surface hydrologic processes, and radiation. However, scientists are currently working on new models that will not only include those measurements but also in the near future the models could show cloud prediction, more detail of ground physics, vegetation, the carbon cycle at work, and trace gas amounts. These new models are only limited now by the current technology and funding, however the imagination of man is not limited and there may be in near time a very accurate model of how we impact our environment. |
