In September 2000, Chrystal will begin her third year teaching eighth grade integrated physical science.  At Carnegie M.S., she is involved with the California Literacy Challenge Grant and the School Standards Team.  She recently completed the Science Standards with Integrated Marine Science Program at the University of California Los Angeles and the Woodrow Wilson Foundation Leadership Program for Teachers Environmental Science Institute at Princeton University. She is working on developing integrative hands on inquiry based units for her classroom and appreciates new ideas.   She graduated from the University of California Irvine with a bachelor's degree in biological science.
