I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. The school that I teach at is Memorial High School. I am the mother of two children, a fifteen, and an eleven-year-old. I have a Master in Mid-Management in Education, Reading Specialist, and certifications in Composite Science, Reading, and English As A Second Language. In l996 I received the Alumni of Distinction award from the University of the Incarnate Word; in l998 I received the Quality of Life Award, and in l999 I was semi-finalist in the National Science Teachers Award sponsored by Shell Oil Company. I was selected to attend two three weeks institutes in the summer of 2000. They were the Neurobiology Summer Institute for High School Teachers and The Woodrow Wilson Environmental Institute in which I was inspired to do this Web Page. |
