I was born and raised in Northeastern Oklahoma. I graduated from Owasso High School in 1994 and continued my education at the great Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!!). I graduated in 1998 from OSU with a BS in Middle School Science.

I was hired in August of 1998 at Carver Middle School to teach 7th grade science. With the start of this next school year, I will begin my 3rd year of teaching. Carver is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is a part of the largest school district in Oklahoma. Currently we are using a spiral curriculum that involves teaching a portion of each science disipline at each grade level. We are also in the process of applying for the Middle Years Program (MYP) associated with International Bacclaureate Program. Students will begin this program in 6th grade and have the opportunity to continue until 11th grade. Students who enter this program are accepting responsiblilty of their education by enrolling in challenging and rewarding classes. I currently serve as the MYP coordinator for the 7th grade.

Also, as if this wasn't enough to keep me busy, I am a part-time youth minister for a church in Owasso. I am currently seeking out a graduate program in Christian Education to further expand my knowledge.
