Terry A. Mansfield
Biographical Information
My home in Portage County, Ohio is located on the western edge of the glaciated Allegheny Plateau. As a result, the area features a variety of relic wetlands
that contain rare and unique flora and fauna.
These unusual ecosystems were the focus of much study during my graduate school years at Kent State University and continue to inspire me for my Biology and Environmental Biology classes at Laurel School.
Looking forward to my 14th year of teaching High School Biology, I have spent the last two at Laurel, an independent Girls Scout in suburban Cleveland, Ohio. At Laurel, I am the faculty advisor for the Ecology
Club and am a member of the Respect for Difference Committee. When time and finances permit, I enjoy visiting friends in the Waipio Valley on the Big Island of Hawaii.
