In this gene scan picture, the white tracking line (3rd line in) shows that this allele is heterozygous.  The yellow color spots indicate where the microsatellite is located which gives us the size.

GENESCAN With Three Different Primers.

In this gene scan picture, the red spots are the standard (TAMRA).  On this diagram, the results of three different primers are given:  (Pme 2, which is the blue fluorescent dye, Pme4, which is the smaller fragment with yellow fluorescent dye; and Pme21, which is the larger fragment with the yellow fluorescent dye.
