Abstract: The importance of controlling non-point pollution has been the focus of attention since the 1987 Clean Water Act.  The approach to control the impact of this runoff with Watershed management has been the new paradigm for assessment.  This study looks at the Mercer Lake subwatershed, which is part of the Delaware River watershed.  Sites along the watershed were tested for a number of both chemical and biological factors.  The results seem to suggest that in areas with multiple land uses the possible effects  on the watershed can be controlled most effectively by implementing prescribed Best Management Practices.Group Photo
