Results of Mercury Testing 

 

Samples were taken from three Maryland Lakes.  The lakes were: Lariet Lake, Clopper Lake, and Big Piney Reservoir.  Samples were taken from May 15 through June 19th.  The EPA has established that if fish tissue contains 0.1 or more parts per million, the body of water is to be posted under a fish Advisory.

The graph above illustrates the mercury in the three lakes in a different way.

In terms of consentration of mercury, there seems to be a connection between fish size and consentration levels.  This is illustrated in the following graph.
