Current Projects

 

      I wrote a book called “Cultural Uses of Plants. A Guide to Learning About Ethnobotany.” It is published by The New York Botanical Garden Press. You can order it through Amazon.com for $18.00.       I have a B.S. in Environmental Horticulture and a M.A in Education. I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia, West Africa from 1985-1987. Then I came to Boston to teach. I love to write and illustrate environmental curriculum materials. I am a lead teacher in the Boston Public Schools and conduct teacher workshops on Environmental Science.

     

      My personal interests include drawing, writing curriculum materials and science fiction, gardening, travel, outdoor exercise (swimming, walking, volleyball, etc.) and spending time with my daughter and close friends.
