    I was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. I attended public schools and graduated from J. M. Tate High School in 1986. After high school, I attended the University of West Florida. I received a B.S. in Biology in December,1991 and a B. S. in Biology Education in April, 1992.  While attending UWF, I was involved with the University Mentor Program, the University Ambassador Association and I was also a founding sister for the Delta Psi chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma Fraternity for women.
    I began teaching at Woodham High School in September, 1992. I am certified in Biology and Earth/Space Science. As a faculty member, I have coached numerous activities including cheerleading, cross-country, track and soccer. I have also served on the School Improvement Committee, the School Advisory Committee, and I have served on the department interview selection committee. For the past five years, I've taught in an integrated learning program called KEGS (Keyboarding, English, Geography and Science) for ninth grade students. Students are taught lessons that are performed accross the curriculum. (Example: research paper for science is typed in keyboarding and graded in science for content and english for grammatical correctness.)
    This upcoming year I will be teaching 4 classes of Biology for ninth and tenth grade students enrolled in our newest magnet program: The Law Academy along with 2 classes of Earth/Space Science.

    Pensacola is a beautiful place. It is situated in the northwestern part of Florida and is very close to the Gulf of Mexico. Our beaches boast sugar white sands and aqua and azure waters.
 

In my free time, I enjoy bicycling, jogging with the Seville Quarter Milers, swimming, gardening and playing on the computer.
