JUNE GILBREATH

I was born and raised in Paris, Arkansas with my twin sister, Judy.  We are identical, but very different  in personalities.  I graduated from Hendrix College, in Conway, Ark. with a major in P.E. and Health. I soon learned that you have to have more than a P.E. and Health degree, so I went back to school and became certified in Elementary Education. Up to this point I had avoided all science classes unless absolutely required.
I soon learned if you are the new teacher on the block and the school is departmentalized, the new teacher always gets what is left over,  which is science, of course. I began to fall in love with science. I went back to school and took enough science hours to get certified in science. I tell my students that I am a great example of never say never. I LOVE TEACHING SCIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!
I was chairman of the First Internation Butterfly Festival, Mt. Magazine (2753') in 1997, and Logan County Educator of the Year, 1997. I received a STRIVE GRANT last summer in which I worked with the Mt. Magazine Forest Service, writing an interdisciplinary curriculum for Mt. Magazine.  I also received a scholarship from the Ark. Audubon Society to attend the Wyoming Ecology Camp for a week last summer at Wind Rivers. It was awesome!!!!!
I love to landscape for my friends and chase butterflies.  I'm also a sports nut and I live and breathe Razorback football, basketball and baseball.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  PIG  SOOOOOOOOOOOOOIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
