  • Weather is constantly changing. The average weather conditions over a period of time is called climate. The climate usually stays pretty much the same for hundreds of years if left to itself.  However, the Earth is not being left alone. The human species is changing the climate of Earth in significant ways.

    There is considerable concern about rising carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in the Earth's atmosphere and what implications this may have for the future of our planet. What began as speculation among a group of scientists in 1957 about the interaction of carbon dioxide and our climate has lead to international policy debates and much scientific research.
