I currently teach 8th grade science at Troy Middle Shool in Shorewood, IL. I have taught science for 11 years.  Astronomy has become a hobby of mine and I am a member of a group of teachers called the Will County Aerospace Team. We have had many exciting experiences in CO at the U.S. Space Foundation in Colorado Springs. The program is incredible. Thru that program, I was accepted to present at the International Space Station Educators Conference held at the Houston Space Center in TX.
Professionally, I believe the collaboration and networking that occurs at seminars and projects such as the Costa Rica Environmental Science Institute are invaluable for teacher growth and continuing education.
