La Selva Biological Station Research Project

At the La Selva Biological Station, Ken's Research Group
investigated the water quality of run-off streams in
both secondary and primary growth areas.
Three parameters were investigated:
                                                        1) pH [using pH paper]
                                                        2) temperature [using a thermometer]
                                                        3) turbidity
Also recorded where physical parameters such as stream flow [relative],
odor, and the composition of the stream bed.

The site for secondary growth study [designated Site 1], was approximately 3.5 km from the laboratory.
The site for primary growth study [designated Site 2], was approximately 1.0 -1.2 km from the laboratory.
Samples where taken on three days in the morning.

Here, Ken tests water temperature at Site 1.
