To allow you to prepare for your experience this summer (and to guide
our planning of the institute based on your interests), we are now
beginning a reservation process for the projects which you'll be working
on with the faculty mentors. Please take a look at the newly updated
list of faculty and project topics:

You can click on the project titles to get in-depth descriptions (for
most projects).
Please send us your top 3 preferred projects (ranked 1, 2, 3) as soon as
possible, but NO LATER THAN JUNE 5TH. In cases of overbooking,
reservations will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. ON
JUNE 9TH, I will announce your reservations, which will afford you a few
weeks for any background reading or preliminary work you might like to
do (most of the project outlines include good suggestions). For those
not holding suitable reservations, final project assignments will be
made during the first few days of the institute.
To make sure that your request is registered, please reply with your
preferences to the institute email list (esi98r@www.woodrow.org). We
have now removed the "moderation" from this email list, so your replies
will be visible to everyone.
