Each of you will work in groups of three to four (you may choose others to work with in groups). The final product produced should contain three components
In the Inquiry part of the project, your group should construct a hypothesis and develop a series of projects that will test this hypothesis. When appropriate, you should carry out the experiments (lab facilities are provided). The projects that you develop will encompass the second part of the project. These projects will be written in html format and published on the class web page. The purpose of posting projects on the web is so that other colleagues can adapt your projects their own classroom curriculum on Global Warming. Each of your projects should contain four-five class activities (Each activity should comprise one class period). All of the groups' projects together will comprise a semester's lesson plan.
In the first two weeks of the workshop you should develop ideas for a project, discuss it with others you intend to work with, and interact with the class instructors. Late in the workshop you will also have outside mentors to review your project. Keep a problem-based journal to record reactions to activities relevant to your project.
In initial phases, establish goals and objectives of your work group. These discussions are necessary so that everyone is clear about your task. Discuss the process for accomplishing your project as well as what you will need/expect from teachers and other resources.
Discuss each member's unique skills and abilities and how these skills will work together to create the finished product. After you know the abilities of others, discuss what further skills you will need to acquire to accompish yoiur goal.
