Hopefully, the school year has commenced on a positive note. By now you
are immersed in new students. Hopefully you are discovering ways of
applying the inquiry-based learning from your summer CORE experience.
We would like to know if you plan to conduct TORCH workshops in your
district during the 1998-99 school year or the summer of 1999? Would
you please provide us with your best thoughts on the subject. If you
haven't considered conducting a TORCH workshop, please let us know what
we might do to enable you to feel confident to do so.
We are busy brokering TORCH workshops, forging new partnerships, and
exploring ways to attract bright, committed teachers (just like you) to
our 1999 CORE Institutes. Your immediate response to this inquiry will
