Over the next few weeks, an editorial team will be at work polishing up
the institute web sites, including your projects. We hope to finish
near the end of the month, so that you will have something you can
proudly share with your colleagues.
There are a couple of areas where we really need your help (the
editorial team can be contacted at tech98@www.woodrow.org):
1. Please check over your project and help us track down any missing
references for text or graphics that you obtained from outside sources.
2. Before making any changes to your work during this period, please
contact the editorial team, so that we can coordinate our changes.
Procedure:
Our aim is to keep you fully informed about the editorial process. To
start, this letter includes a list of the general types of editorial
changes that we'll be making in the next few weeks. Later, once the
editors have finished their work, we will send each team a detailed list
of all "substantive" changes that were made to your project (just to
keep you informed - not meant as an evaluation).
Note that the editorial team is working on separate copies of the
projects. This means you can't accidentally "collide" with the editors
as they work, but at the same time, it means you need to contact us at
tech98@www.woodrow.org to make sure any changes are incorporated into
the final edited versions.
People:
We are fortunate to have Lindy Eyster, one of the directors of the
Princeton ESI, working with us on the scientific vetting, and on
documentation of references. The rest of the editorial team -- Avani,
Free, and Stacey, whom many of you know as the computer assistants at
the Rutgers ESI -- are working on the more technical aspects. Everyone
on the editorial team is familiar with the institute in general, and
knows many of your projects in particular.
