Inservice

Q What happens if lack of administrative support?
A Your supervisor did make a commitment. We can talk.

Q Possible problem with school schedule?
A We are open to times. You have until December 31, 1999.

Q If doing TORCH meets 20-hour commitment?
A Yes

Q TORCH: 24 a lot for rural institute?
A We can be flexible for rural areas but we have to agree. That's why
there's an application process.

Q For the community inservice, are we going to be provided with
materials or do we provide our own?
A Your colleagues and you can put stuff on the web to assist everyone or
institutes can provide handouts.

Q What is WWNFF going to give you regarding TORCH vs. what we have to
do?
A I don't understand this question.

Q How is this mode of outreach different from what we've already
committed to? on application.
A Not sure which mode you are referring to. You committed to either 10-
or 20-hours in the application. TORCH is voluntary. TORCH Online is just
a concept you can ignore.

Q What is the outcome for not participating in any of the outreach
modes?
A WWNFF provides HHMI/NSF with a list of who fulfilled the commitment
and who didn't.

Q What are the timelines? Are they preset or independent?
A TORCH is independent for deadlines. Commitment is preset for December
31, 1999.
