Q How are the dollars distributed?
A If you mean allocated among the various institutes, a committee of
your peers will assist WWNFF in deciding. The idea is to hold as many
TORCH institutes as we can and in as many regions as we can. We want to
work together to make our NSF funds go far.
Q Concerns about TORCH Online: Does this cost $$? College credit? What
the heck is this? Who? Who is creating this course? How are participants
chosen? 5 Ws. Any plan for participants to meet and exchange info? No
personal interaction?
A. Great questions and concerns. TORCH Online is a concept. If you want
to help WWNFF create it for the NSF proposal, come to a meeting on
Sunday 19 July after the Alberts talk. If you want to see the proposal,
write Andrew and have him forward it to you.
