In your web page construction there are few items that need to be addressed.
It is important that we include the following items in our web page
construction. We will need to link web documents. If you follow the
directions listed below, it will help the web master in linking these
documents.
If you have your page under construction, it is important you go back and make
the following changes. If you are just beginning, please use the following
directions in the construction of your web page.
Remember you have to be in page composer to make the needed changes or
updates.
# 1. Make sure you have a title to your homepage and have given credit to
yourself as the author; open your web page in page composer; click the right
mouse button; once the menu box appears, go to page properties; on the top of
the box, select General; in the general box, you can check to see if the title
and author are correct.
#2. Most of us have made our title page and sub-titles by using Font Size
and Font; this is a BIG no, no in web page construction; it will make it very
difficult to link web pages or documents together following that procedure.
All titles and subtitles must be made using the paragraph style box found on
the left of the third menu bar. I would suggest, you highlight your title,
and then go to this box, click on the down arrow, and click on heading 1; you
will probably not notice any difference but it will change the HTML script.
This will have to be done to each sub-heading or sub-title you have used.
The difference between Headings 1, Heading 2, etc. is the size. It would be
best to use headings 2 or 3, etc. for all sub-titles.
#3. If you have important text that has been highlighted in bold or italized
or underlined, you will have to go back and make the following correction.
You will have to highlight those words and go back to paragraph style and
select description title or description text. Both of these important changes
are found at the bottom of the paragraph style menu.
Remember these changes are important to create links between web documents,
words, etc.
