Resource: Princeton Earth Physics Project (PEPP)

Resource Type:
Research and Education Organization / Workshop

Summary:
Now in its fourth year, the Princeton Earth Physics Project (PEPP) has come a long way in reaching its goal to provide every student in America with original data: seismograms in real time!

We have developed a school seismograph for use with PC's, established a data center to share data over the Internet, make data from professional stations all over the world available within hours of a big earthquake, and developed a package of classroom projects to study these and other data. Software and projects are freely available at our Web page and will be published together with a CDROM and a teacher's guide by Tom Snyder productions later this year.
