The Forest embraces 25% South America area, reaching nine countries: Brazil, French Guyana, Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. The greater part of the forest, 62%, is located in Brazil, and the remaining 38%, in the other countries.
One region of the world that is of particular concern is the Amazon Rain Forest. It is primarily hot and humid. It is believed to contain many rich resources. We will apply our concepts of economics to this area. We will also touch somewhat on the political problems.
