This series of maps is intended to be used in an Environmental Science course at Palo Alto High School in Santa Clara County, California.
Its function is to stimulate and direct classroom discussion on the problems of land use and increased urbanization in Santa Clara County.
As each slide is shown, appropriate discussion questions can be addressed to the students. The discussion can be extended to water quality, traffic, air pollution and other local environmental issues.
