Download the following files for Shasta County, California:
County_(1995_Boundaries), Landmark_Areas,
and Places_1995.

Alternatively, go to the ESRI
Web Site. For Shasta County in California, download the TIGER files for
County (1995 Boundaries), Landmark Areas, and Places (1995).

UnZip (extract) the compressed files that you have downloaded.

Launch the ArcView GIS application. Select "Create a new project...with
a new view" from the Welcome to ArcView GIS dialog. Click OK. Click yes
in the Add Data dialog. Find and select the file titled cty06089.shp in
the Add Theme dialog. Click OK.

Select Add Theme from the View menu. Find and select the file titled pla06089.shp
in the Add Theme dialog. Click OK.

Turn on both themes by clicking in their check boxes.
