Good to hear from you. Have you looked at the Sierra Nevada
Ecosystem Project (SNEP)? It is online with lot's of useful leads,
particularly on water resource issues.
As to modeling stream flow, etc...have you used the online stream flow
data now available for california; also extensive data on every dam and
reservoir in the state. You might also want to explore the Berkeley
Digital Library Project which now has online extensive aerial photos and
satellite imagery for the whole Sacramento Delta region and San
Francisco Bay area.
