Last year we investigated implementing the CBL system into our
department and decided to go with the computer lab interphase probes
from Vernier. We felt the CBL would be great for outdoor data
coalation but had limits to probe usage. We wanted a system that
could be used in all science courses and felt the computer interphase
met all our needs with the exception of outdoor data collection.
Thus, the outdoor work is done with a labtop computer or collected
data is brought in and put into the computer in the classroom. It has
worked out well and has limited the amount of lost or damaged
equipment since we go outside in every kind of weather. ( If your
budget is like ours; that's important!)
