Hello from Oregon!
I'm very excited to be a part of this summer's adventure. I have a million
questions including topics, equipment to bring, do we need hiking-field
clothes, what kind of curriculum materials to bring and what is it like in
New Jersey?
I have been active in League of Women Voters as President with a special
interest in Environmental Issues and see so many choices that choosing is
difficult. As part of a locational diverse team (#50), I am unsure as how
to select. Our community is very concerned about Dioxin pollutants arising
from a burn facility as well as the battle between development and farm land
and violations of our land use planning laws. My heart also lies in the old
fashioned approach to the environment as a Naturalist. I am interested in
recording data and setting historical standards through tracking, mapping.
I am looking forward to more communication with my "team".
Any news about arrangements like air travel? What about a train trip?
