Students will:
Observe, collect and analyze information and express those findings using a variety of formats (creative writing, graphs, diagrams, etc,)
Communicate in a form suited to the purpose and the audience.
Aquire information from multiple sources (Internet, Interviews, museum, books).
Make recommendations, decisions and conclusions based on evidence.
Understand current research efforts on rainforests and biodiversity.
Learn about adaptations of organisms.
Gain knowledge of environmental issues and the need for environmental intervention, controls and awareness.
Explore plant life cycles and the food web.
Recognize and consider alternative explanations and opinions.
Experience the impact of technology, such as constraints and trade-offs; feedback; benefits and risks; and problems and solutions.
Work individually and in teams to collect and share information.
