Possible Activities:

Labs:

  • Water testing (field)
  • Bacteria growth (lab)
  • Life cycle—tadpoles
  • Dissection—describe normal frogs, tie in with necropsies performed by Hoppe and McKinnel

Writing:

  • Journal kept while writing book
  • Data tables compiled from information in text
  • Warm-up questions to be used at start of each lab period
  • Research paper tied in to frog life cycles
  • V-diagram of a proposed experiment to test one of the hypotheses related to the deformities

Art:

  • Poster of frogs, banner,  mobile, frog puppet, frog song or rap
  • Create a map of CWB site
  • Write biographies of main characters

Games:

  • Vocabulary word puzzle
  • Frog jigsaw puzzle (use one already made or have students make their own)
  • Create a board game related to deformed frogs
