I was born in San Francisco. I graduated
from UC Irvine with a degree in Biological Sciences. While there I also
had the privilege of driving submarines for Mickey over at the Magic Kingdom
for three years. I have also spent summers as a backpacking instructor
where I got the honor of sharing our beautiful Sierra Nevadas with groups of
inner city kids.
I currently am teaching Science 11 which is an integrated science course. I also am the director of Roosevelt Health Academy which is a partnership program that places students through a 3 year experience that combines academics with afternoons over at the hospital where they receive training and real job experiences. My other hat is as a consultant for SEPUP (Science Education for Public Understanding Program) out of the Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkely. |
