I am currently teaching AP Biology and Pre AP Biology at Moises E. Molina High School in Dallas, Texas. For the past three years and since the opening of Molina, I have served as the Chair of the Science Department. The school year 2000/2001 will complete my fifteenth year as a permanent teacher. Dallas Public Schools is a very large and diverse community and our teachers wear many hats. I have been given the opportunity to develop curriculum, write district assessments, and to participate in the presentation of professional development for our district. I enjoy sharing with my fellow colleagues and have given presentations for state, national and international workshops. I am look forward to sharing my WWF experience.
When I am not in the classroom, I love to spend time on the Texas coast. I love the shifting of sands, sea birds, and sounds of the surf. I like the barrier islands-less human development and interference. I enjoy puttering with plants, and just being with my animals. I was born in Texas (love it!) and have had the fortunate opportunity to spend segments of my life in Tennessee and Ontario, Canada. I have two children. Lance is in the construction business and Jerry is an attorney in Dallas. |
