This is my first year teaching and a 1999 Cal
Poly, San Luis Obispo graduate. I am a little older, 28 turning 29 this
summer but very young at heart. I love teaching biology, however, I am
searching for an all hands-on discovery learning environment for my
students. Academically they are challenged and need to learn through
different modalities. I have presented many laboratory exercises this
year, however they still seem to struggle. Therefore, this is my
ultimate goal this summer.
Personally speaking, I am an avid music listener, collector, especially Duran Duran. I have followed them for 18 years and it has become fun, pricey, exciting, enjoyable hobby. I belong to an online community of fans and spend most of my free time dedicated to my collecting. I also enjoy walking, hiking, biking, jogging and most outdoor related activities. My favorite place in the world is New York City and I am thrilled to be spending time near there this summer. Teachers, beware, be prepared to have your brain picked by a young eager-beaver biology teacher! |
