While the seasons and food supplies have changed, my travels around the Eastern seaboard would certainly classify me as a nomad.  After some early years in Florida and New Jersey, I tackled the life of an English schoolboy in Sussex for about 5 years.  With my taste buds sufficiently numbed, I found myself in Mickey Mouse land.  The heat allowed me to develop an appreciation for the sport of swimming, ultimately guiding me to Mercersburg Academy, PA and Amherst College, MA.

Since Amherst, I have stayed in education as a science teacher in places such as St. Louis, Jacksonville, FL, Baltimore and Vero Beach, FL.  Outside of the classroom I serve as an academic advisor and swimming coach while working on my tan.  It may be a sign that the students are getting to me, but recently I developed an interest in triathlons.  Now I serve as a case study for the exponential decline in the ability to recover after exercise as it relates to aging.
