WEEK ONE

At the beginning of this week,  WWNFF Biology participants met for the first time! The following topics were introduced and/or briefly discussed:

• Technology to be used: powerpoint, inspiration, and netscape composer
• Questions to be covered: What are we learning? How would I teach this? How does this translate into teacher training and peer leadership development?
• Biodiversity: What is it? Ways to measure it? Why is it important? What are the threats to it?

Our next activity was the field study of campus environment. My group was assigned an open field where we sectioned off an area and identified autotrophs and heterotrophs.

After dinner, we submerged into the computer basics.
