Inquiry into Science learning
For students to do science as inquiry, they must actively participate in order to develop sophistication in scientific investigations.
Investigations should derive from questions and issues that have meaning for students.
Students can understand that experiments are guided by concepts and are performed to test ideas.
Students will learn to interpret data that seem anomalous and propose explanations based on evidence and logic rather than on their prior beliefs about the natural world.
