Visit to Bronx Zoo
The most outstanding exhibit was the Congo exhibit.
It gave habitat and all the primates with emphasis on the gorillas.
We also went to the New York Botanical Garden

July 12 - 17th
Microbiology and Disease Lab included special agars on identification of  Streptococcus and Staphlococcus
Visit to AMNH to see EPIDEMIC EXHIBIT Museum of Natural History
Lecture by Dr. Varuni Kulasekera Disease entomologist


This was a great exhibit especially the hands on activities

VISIT BY THE CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL
Dr. Richard Goodman and Dr. Donna Stroup were the main presenters on a new teaching module "Disease Dectectives." They helped to create the web site EXCITE Excellence In Curiculum Integration through Teaching Epidemiology they also introduced  Science Olympiad.

Genetic and Molecular diversity Worked with Dr. Varusi Kuleskari on DNA extraction  in insects and the use of the PCR role of Molecular systematics in the phylogeny of insects.
