3. A creative exercise in volume The use of different materials such
as rice, colored water, animal crackers , sand or colored sand to visually
display the amount of organisms
In this exercise we used chart p. 35 -47 of text Biodiversity by Wilson
Our group used sand and we said 1% = 1ml or 1animal cracker =1000
species or 1 grain = 1 species

Scavenger Hunt
This was a study of different campus environments Here we were to devise
a sample method to suit the site given. This would be useful to introduce
students to a new study site.

Canoe trip on a canal near Forbes Lab Chemical Testing
was done using La Motte kits on the Dissolved Oxygen, Nitrogen, Phosphorus,
and pH of the canal. the purpose was to familarize us with the use of the
kits
