My committment to the Woodrow Wilson OUTREACH Program will involve 20 hours of sharing and instructing.  The information provided in the OUTREACH will be based on participation in the summer institute.

The focus of the institiute, and therefore the OUTREACH, will be biodiversity.  Activities and exercises experienced during the summer workshop will be used to inform local Kenai Peninsula Borough teachers of the importance of biodiversity.  These activities will range from microbiological investigations to DNA analysis.

In order to make this information more relevent to the local environment, consultations will be conducted with biologists and naturalists in and around Kenai.  Sampling of the environment and related information will be shared in an informal setting.

Specific information related to location, times and dates will be advertised in the Kenai area.  Notification will be sent to local schools.  Please watch for further information.
