Pictures from the NY Botanical Garden

The flowers at the Botanical Garden illustrated a diversity of morphology.  Coming from Alaska, I had the opportunity to observe many species that were unfamiliar to me.  Since we do not have a large variety of tree species, my favorites instantly became the huge deciduous trees.

The Brazil nut shells intriqued me.  I had never seen anything quite like them.
