Materials and Methods

• The Petri dishes were then labeled and recorded and placed inverted in a plastic bag with a damp paper towel and stored at room temperature.
• Areas of inhibited growth should be characterized by a zone of inhibition surrounding the paper disc where the bacteria is obviously not growing.
• An additional disk was prepared with cayenne pepper on a lawn of E. coli to eliminate the possibility of the vinegar in the Tobasco sauce as the inhibitor.
