- reflect the workshop title and description
- build on participants’ current knowledge
- address local and / or national issues
- introduce participants to a variety of resources on the workshop topic
- condense content of the 2001 CORE Institute imaginatively but with integrity
Process
The proposal shows evidence that the activities:
- encourage and support collaboration among the participants
- involve participants in hands-on, authentic, scientific investigation
- model science teaching through guided practice
- allow participants to consider their own learning style and preferences
- integrate assessment
Logistics
The proposal includes:
- a realistic schedule
- partnership with one or more local entities
- a sound budget
