The proposal shows evidence that workshop activities:

  • reflect the workshop title and description
  • build on participants’ current knowledge
  • address local and / or national issues
  • introduce participants to a variety of resources on the workshop topic
  • condense content of the 2001 CORE Institute imaginatively but with integrity

Process

The proposal shows evidence that the activities:

  • encourage and support collaboration among the participants
  • involve participants in hands-on, authentic, scientific investigation
  • model science teaching through guided practice
  • allow participants to consider their own learning style and preferences
  • integrate assessment

Logistics

The proposal includes:

  • a realistic schedule
  • partnership with one or more local entities
  • a sound budget
