Facilitator(s) is/are responsible for:
- Coordinating their outreach workshop
- Recruiting and registering 12 to 25 participants
- Adhering to the proposed curriculum and budget
- Notifying Woodrow Wilson and program evaluators of all changes in times, dates, and meeting locations
- Tracking contact hours, homework hours, and hours using computer technology for the facilitator report
- Distributing evaluation forms to workshop participants
- Submitting the facilitator report and final budget
- Returning any unused funds to Woodrow Wilson at the end of the workshop
Woodrow Wilson is responsible for:
- Posting information about the workshop to the Leadership Program for Teachers web site
- Releasing one half of workshop funds when there is evidence of at least 12 registered participants and the other half of the funds 10 days
before the initial date of the workshop
- Releasing stipend funds upon receipt of the facilitator report and final budget
Compensation will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service on IRS Form 1099-MISC (Miscellaneous Income), as required by law, and recipients will
be responsible for payment of any applicable federal or state income or other taxes due thereon. Facilitators are not eligible for any benefit plan offered by WWNFF to its employees, and are not covered under the
workers' compensation insurance carried by WWNFF for its employees. Facilitators waive any rights to recovery from WWNFF for any injuries the consultants may sustain while performing services under this Memorandum
of Understanding and that are the result of negligence of the consultant(s).
All resource materials prepared for use in TORCH
are in the public domain. The facilitator and partner institutions are encouraged to use these materials for any nonprofit educational use. Facilitators agree to indemnify and hold WWNFF harmless from all claims, losses, fees and judgments which may be asserted against WWNFF from the acts or negligence of the facilitators.
This agreement will terminate on December 31, 2003. It may be terminated prior to such time without cause by WWNFF upon 30 days written notice.
