Results

Bacterial groups found and identified are consistent with those expected for the two sites tested. However, bacterial groups found in the Bay site showed far more diversity in species and group type when compared with the pond site.

Both sites revealed species that were labeled as unknown. Further studies will divulge whether new, unidentified species truly exist, but currently we are unable to research them in depth.
