Theresa BuggageDuring my twenty-six years of service in New Orleans. I have served my district as a teacher, science coordinator, and administrator. I hold a M.S. degree from Loyola Univeristy and an undergraduate degree in Biology from Southern University in New Orleans. My next goal is to earn a Ph.D. in Biology. My children tease me with this notion by saying, "Mom, at your age?" I can only answer by saying, "The difference is I WILL BE THIS AGE, BUT WITH A PH.D.". Becoming a "Woody" is one of the highlights of my career. Learning how to gene clean, sequence samples, doing meaningful research, analysis, and to really think about teaching, and students learning (Lesson Study) can only better prepare me for the challenges that lie ahead and the students entrusted into my care. My colleagues affectionately refer to me as "Mother Theresa", and I know I have made friends for life. Much Thanks to the Woodrow Foundation, and faculty for choosing me to participate. |
