Principles of Practice

Follow the links to the left to learn more about eight key principles for supporting students in high-expectations/high-need schools. The principles apply to any secondary school working to raise expectations for all students.

The principles are drawn from the experiences of schools in the Woodrow Wilson Early College Network. One model of support does not exist because schools are different in resources, students’ academic preparation, and a multitude of challenges.
